PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) — A storm that dumped several inches of snow on the eastern half of Pennsylvania and southern half of New Jersey is expected to clear the region Saturday morning and be replaced by sunny skies and a stiff breeze.

A winter storm warning is in effect through daybreak.

Snow-covered roads had made for treacherous driving late Friday, with numerous accidents reported. But the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the state Department of Transportation reported no road closures or major problems.

While there were few outages, utilities warned that Pennsylvania was not yet in the clear.

“Early morning through noon … is the period when we could see some trouble if winds pick up, but the latest forecast doesn’t cause much concern,” said Michael Wood, spokesman for PPL Corp.
